"" Air Pollution ""

Air is the source of life .It is the natural mixture of gases that surround the Earth. It is 99.9% nitrogen, oxygen, water vapor and inert gases. It supplies us with oxygen which is essential for our bodies to live. Unfortunately ,with increasing urbanisation and industrialisation, humans started to release more wastes into the atmosphere than nature could cope with ,which cause air pollution that has harmed the environment .

The specific pollutants that cause air pollution are varied and plentiful. On the one hand , there are the industrial or mechanical sources such as factories. Anything burned in a factory ,not just for heat but as part of the manufacturing process, would release smoke ,ashe and other toxins into the air which cause air pollution. Another serious cause of air pollution has been the increasing use of automobiles and other modern modes of transport that rely on the burning of fossil fuels for example the black exhaust that comes from buses, trains and other large vehicles.  On the other hand, there are the environmental or natural sources such as wildfires, dust storms and volcanic eruptions which may be accompanied by poisonous gases.

According to what mentioned before ,air pollution has serious implications for our health as well as for the whole environment. Its effects can include the irritation to the eyes, nose and throat.Other symptoms can include headaches ,nausea and allergic reactions. It also can include chronic respiratory disease, lung cancer, heart disease and even damage the brain, nerves, liver or kidneys.

Air pollutants such as ozone, nitrogen oxides and sulfur dioxide also have harmful effects on natural ecosystems. They can kill plants and trees by destroying their leaves, and can kill animals especially fish in highly polluted rivers. It also can contribute to global warming that changes climate globally and causes significant changes to various regions of the world for example ocean warming, rising sea levels and increasing runoff.

As air pollution is very harmful to our environment and to our health, it requires international cooperative efforts to find solutions  to stop it . People may try to restrict population growth, use less energy , improve energy efficiency ,reduce waste and move to non-polluting renewable forms of energy production. Also automobile-produced pollution can be decreased with highly beneficial results.Restricting smoking is also an important key to the healthier environment . In addition we must plant more plants which are instrumental in removing carbon monoxide from the air.

In conclusion,I would say that the fresh environment is very important for Earth and it shouldn't be destroyed nor damaged . Without air, Earth would be unable to sustain life  because air is the source of life  and it helps keep things alive .So ,we must do our best to prevent these damaging effects of air pollution and improve our air .......
